Essie Clutch Me If You Can swatch

My absolute favorite color for both hands and feet is blood red...I think it's the most flattering of all colors not only on me (partly due to the fact that I have white skin and hardly tan) but on most skin-types.  I wear it year-round, as I don't adhere to the silly rules of bright and light colors in summer vs. darker, more somber colors in winter.  The only issue is that this kind of color yellows the nail, so I try not to leave it on for too many days.  I had to go to a wedding on Saturday and I wanted to wear this color as it matched my dress as well...the manicurist, at first glance when she saw the polish said, "Why so dark? It's spring!".  I insisted and then she wanted to use the color on herself as she said it looked "so chic"...LOL!  I let her borrow it...So below is Essie's Clutch Me If You Can, a blood red which the first picture accurately reflects (the second picture was taken in low light).

Essie Who is the Boss Swatch

To continue upon the green theme of this past week, I decided to wear Who is the Boss from Essie's 2012 Wedding Collection.  This is a soft sage green which can be described as sea green as well, and in some lights has a blue tint.  It looks a bit greyed out in the pictures which is how it looks in real life as well.  This is a pretty color just perfect for spring.  Excuse my sloppy manicure, I did it on my own and took the pictures before cleaning up the edges!! :)

Essie Navigate Her Swatch

Spring is finally here, and so I decided to follow the classic nail trends of the season by wearing Navigate Her from Essie's 2012 Spring Collection. This is a soft grass green which was not bad-looking if you consider my washed-out, pale skin. It is yellow-based and is a pastel green which is not too bright. The pictures below are taking indoors and I have 2 coats of the polish on. It looks slightly more grey in the pictures below than it is in real life.
