Nails Inc. St. John's Wood swatch

This is one of the rare occasions where I am wearing nail polish that isn't by Essie...but I ADORE this color and was looking for a long time for a blurple nail polish (a mixture of blue and purple).  This color can almost be called violet, and the formula is great--it was opaque in one coat but am wearing two here.  I took this on the second day so you can see some chipping.  I think this is a very unique and flattering color, that looks great both on hands and toes!

Essie Wife Goes On swatch

So I succumbed and decided to wear the most common color that women in Greece wear at the moment--a typical red-pink coral--Essie Wife Goes On.  Personally I think this color is more flattering on my toes than on my hands, but it's easier to take pictures of hands than feet so this is what I'm showing you here.  This is more red than pink and once it's on the nail it looks more red than it does in the bottle.  This is a typical summer color although I'm not sure how much I like it...I think that if it were a touch less bright I would like it more...in any case I'll keep it on for the next few days as it goes with a lot of colors in my wardrobe!  The formula was great and this is 2 coats.

Essie Lilacism swatch

Before She's Picture Perfect came out, this used to be my favorite Essie lilac.  This is like She's Picture Perfect's paler and less bright cousin.  The problem with this is that while the manicurist did only 2 coats below (she's a professional!), if I were to paint them on my own with this color, I would need 3-4 coats for it to become opaque, and because I've done my research on the internet, I'm not the only one that complains about the formula on this polish.  It's still a lovely pastel color, it was part of the 2010 Spring Collection, and is a blue-leaning lilac.  I will also do in the future a swatch of Essie Nice is Nice (which is very similar to Lilacism) and of To Buy or Not to Buy.
